Local Perspective
The Beau-Bassin Seventh-day Adventist Church is an all inclusive church The first church building was dedicated in 1935 by French Pastor Aime Girou. Forty years later, it was extensively renovated under the leadership of Pastor Johan Van Bignoot ,the then, director of the Adventist Diocese. Situated on the main road, it is one of the most well known building in the town of Beau-Bassin.
Our Church offers different services ranging from the Children's ministries to the Club Emeraude and it thus caters for the 7 to the 107 year olds.
Apart from our worship services and bible study hour on Sabbath (Saturday) mornings, we have also youth meetings and pathfinder (for the teens) meetings on Saturday evenings or/and Sundays for recreational activities. Our social responsibility is expressed through our community service ministry. Since the start of the century, we have been providing a free meal on a weekly basis to the shelterless. Our young people are very involved in the worship service with the music ministry. You can as well see the Church in prayer on Tuesday Mornings and Wednesday Afternoons.
